Tips on Planning the Ceremony Location

When couples decided on their ceremony location there are a few things to consider first,

  • Identify your needs and desires
  • Couple's Style and Personalities
  • Research possible sites
  • Couples must be able to agree with all terms for use of their selected location
  • Budget!

First, couples should identify their needs and desires upfront to make everything else run much smoother. To better clarify what couples needs are consider the following things: is the space large enough to accommodate your wedding guest; is the lighting perfect, does the room or space offer great sounds acoustically? Then couples can think about their desires for their chosen ceremony site. Couples desires can be an array of things such as scenery and natural landscapes, an angelic atmosphere, the ability to indoors and outdoors spaces, and more.

The couples style and personalities is very important when planning a wedding. Most importantly every couple should feel comfortable in the space that they have chosen, as well as allowing their personalities to shine through every aspect of the site. If a couple style is playful and relaxed, then the space (ceremony site) should reflect that with a whimsical over all feel. I would strongly suggest to never plan on having a ceremony site that is too overbearing or too overwhelming to the couple because it will not look natural or true to that couple.

Research, Research, Research! If planning to have your ceremony outside of the church building that you attend, be sure to do your research. Make a list of up to 3 possibilities and a really study those venues. Study everything about them! Visit the venue at different times of the day, during the season you plan to marry so that you can see what it looks like at dusk dark or at night. Is the building as enchanting to you when you first visited the location? What are in the terms and agreements about photographers, secular music selections? Does the ceremony site allow you to bring in your own decorations? Does the venue have a build in sound system or will you have to bring that in? What is the earliest time of arrival that the venue is open to you on the day of your wedding?

And if you have asked you the questions above, then by now you and your fiancé are in an agreement with the usage of the space. Couples must be able to agree with all terms for use of their selected location. Make sure you are aware of all the fine details so that there are no mistakes.

Lastly, the budget of the ceremony should be taken into consideration. If you budget doesn't allow it feasibly then keep doing your research for another location that has some of the same characteristics and charm that will satisfy your charm. But if you have to absolutely have the venue of dreams it's a possibility that can be done. However, brides and grooms must be willing to cut the budget somewhere else. For example, less decorations, or skip the cocktail hour.

How to feel more photogenic for your wedding photos

Every bride desires to feel glamorous and gorgeous on their wedding day! But equally important is that they want to be photogenic, and get the perfect shot every sing time! Here are some tips on being more photogenic for your bridal portrait sessions and your wedding day:

  1. Relaxation! – Need I say no more? Take some time out in mist of all the stressful detail and ongoing list of last minute "to-do" and put your feet up! Put on a chick-flick, grab a bowl of popcorn, and just simply relax! Other ways to relax is a self-given pamper day.
  2. Be adventurous! - Do something that is totally not related to your wedding. Go skating, hiking; take a kick-boxing class, or go-cart racing! Activities like these will take you mind of the pressures of wedding jitters.
  3. Be prepared for the shoot! - Make sure you have all of your undergarments, last minute alterations are complete, your dress is clean and spot-less.. Every bride who prepared for portrait session or their wedding day pictures will think more clearly and be able to handle slip-up easily and thoughtfully. Make sure to have your make-up, jewelry, petticoat, slippers, and more! Everything should be ready to-go the day before.
  4. Think about your Prince Charming!- You are about to embark on the newest chapter in your life as husband and wife. So thinking about to go into the next level with fiancé is the perfect way to get great shots.
  5. Don't panic!- If something goes wrong, simply let it go! The most important thing is that you stay calmed, relaxed, and a natural. Most things are beyond our control but you don't want to look like something went wrong while taking a picture with hubby.

What do Wedding Planners do?

A wedding planner job is never done, most of the time. Being a wedding planner there so many things to be done. Wedding planners make good use of their time your multi-tasking as much as possible.

But the beauty of a wedding planner is to be inspired by L-O-V-E and using the couple uniqueness to personalize their wedding. When all is said and done, wedding planners must use creativeness. Our job is to pull something out of couple that make them, them.

A wedding planner needs to create an atmosphere… that includes everyone from the wedding party down to your wedding guest. Like a middle man between the bride and groom and their wedding guest.

A wedding planner needs to keep the bride with EASE through-out the entire day. As a wedding planner I want your day to be special to you and for the bride should have glow on her face that expresses a genuine admiration of JOY , ZEAL , and HAPPINESS!

Above all a wedding planner has to be able to look over the room, honestly be able to see of the guest are enjoying themselves… What are they doing? What are their expressions? Are they involved? Are they smiling from the inside of their soul?

At the end of the night, a wedding planner wears a lot of different hats!

Backyard Weddings 2010 Trends

Spring is around the corner, and many couples are looking for ways to have an unique backyard weddings. Backyard weddings has become a rising trend for weddings in the spring. Typically these weddings are more intimate with wedding guests as less as 100 people. This makes the style of a wedding more cost effective for anyone’s budget.

When planning a backyard wedding use things in yard to inspire a rustic romantic charm. Just take a moment to look around. Become creative with what you already have. There’s so much freedom, and adventure! There are many things to choose from like moss, tree bark, rocks and even fruit.

To add more drama to your backyard, use a white arch for your ceremony, rent white folding chairs for your guest. On your trees add a strain to twinkling lights for dusk to set the mood.

Pink and Black Affire: Ashley and Danny | September 6, 2009

Between Two Hearts Weddings Ministry team in Dallas had the priviledge of working with Ashley and Danny. We soon met with the bride, Ashley, to do walk through at the venue, Diamond Oaks Country Club at http://www.diamondoaksclub.com in Haltom City, Texas. This place had so much character, and charm. We loved, love this venue. In our meeting we discussed her wishes to be carried out. Their colors were shades of pink, and black. The couple wanted a contemporary style wedding. Romance was definitely in the air on that day. This couple was amazing, such a beautiful couple. Here are some great photos by Dallas photographer Marlon Richardson at http://marlonrichardson.zenfolio.com.
